Dr. Arthur Bukhatetsky

Dr. Arthur Bukhatetsky began his career studies right here in the heart of New York City at Hunter College where he received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Chemistry. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. Afterwards he completed clinical rotations in ocular disease at the VA Medical Center Facilities in Brooklyn, NY. He works extensively with complex evaluations and treatment of various ocular infections, ocular injuries, and complications from contact lens wear. In addition he also co-manages cataracts, glaucoma, as well as LASIK and other corrective surgeries.

His meticulous dedication to detail and personalized patient care practices are what sets him apart and ensure his patients always get the best prescription possible. He is an active member of The American Optometric Association and The New York Optometric Association.

Dr. Rachel Mindin

Dr. Rachel Mindin is a native New Yorker. She graduated from Stony Brook University with cum laude honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She continued on to receive her doctorate in optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry. During her time in optometry school, Dr. Mindin took a special interest in volunteering in underserved communities. She has attended many vision screenings throughout the New York City area and has volunteered with the Eye Health Institute providing eye care in Negril, Jamaica. Dr. Mindin completed her optometric clinical training at Downtown Eyecare, Gouverneur Health Hospital and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. There she received extensive training from prominent ophthalmologists and optometrists in the field in the areas of glaucoma, retina, cornea, surgical comanagement, uveitis, and neuro-ophthalmology.

As an optometrist, Dr. Mindin provides multidisciplinary eye care to the patients she treats. She emphasizes preventative care for her patients with diabetes, macular degeneration and glaucoma to prevent vision loss. Her thorough approach to contact lens and glasses fittings insures comfort and the best possible vision for our patients. Dr. Mindin prides herself on providing outstanding personalized eye care to each patient through focused attention, thorough patient education, and individualized treatment plans. She is fluent in English, Russian, and conversational Spanish.

Dr. Valentina Yanovskiy

Dr. Valentina Yanovskiy graduated with clinical honors from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She completed her training in Ocular disease at the VA Medical Center in Brooklyn as well as the VA Medical Center at St. Albans, where she received clinical honors. She has had comprehensive training in diagnosing, managing and treating a multitude of complex ocular diseases such as ocular surface disease, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and various other ocular/systemic diseases.

Her externship experience also took place in the Pediatrics department in The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, where Dr. Yanovskiy examined patients as young as 6 months old. She has participated in many vision screenings for the special needs population. Dr. Yanovskiy has experience working side by side distinguished optometrists who fit specialty contact lenses.

She completed her undergraduate education in Long Island University, majoring in Health Science and Chemistry.

This variety of eye care settings has given Dr. Yanovskiy a great deal of experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of all eye diseases. She understands that each patient has different visual demands placed on them throughout the day and offers focused, individualized patient care.  Dr. Yanovskiy is attentive to her patient’s concerns and strives to partner with them to make eye care an integral part of their health.
