Dr. Kathy Nguyen
Optometrist
Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified, residency-trained optometrist who has dedicated her
career to providing her patients with the highest standard of care.
Dr. Nguyen is originally from Montreal, Canada. She earned her BSc from
Concordia University and Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr.
Nguyen earned numerous distinctions for clinical and academic honors during
school and founded a successful mentorship program to support incoming
optometry students. She then went on to complete her clinical rotations at
Providence VA, MVC Eye Care, Illinois Eye Institute, and finally, Georgia Eye
Partners where she ultimately decided to pursue her residency training. She
completed her residency specializing in ocular disease, refractive surgery co-
management, and specialty contact lens fitting.
She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, American
Academy of Optometry, and New York State Optometric Association. Dr. Nguyen
is fluent in English, French, and Vietnamese and has working proficiency in
Spanish.
Outside of the clinic, her other passions include volunteering with animals, tennis,
and traveling.
